Hawk Surveying was founded by owner and director Emma in 2014. Her 17-year career covers a wide range of diverse projects from specialist private residential schemes, to hospital refurbishments, high-end educational facilities and aviation works.
Emma’s drive to set up her own consultancy and quantity surveying practice came from her commitment to add value to the projects and teams she works with. She is motivated by proving the ability to save time or money without compromising on the project output.
Emma is the lead consultant, in communication with every client, supported by an experienced and dedicated team of quantity surveyors.
Cheryl
Causebrook
Commercial Manager
Needing little introduction in the Kent construction community, Cheryl’s 35 years in the industry started with her working as a Quantity Surveyor and have seen her career develop in various directions. She works with many businesses across the supply chain, providing strategic and consultative guidance. Her knowledge and experience are recognised in the local industry, with her being appointed as chairperson for both Constructing Excellence’s Kent branch and the Kent Invicta Chamber’s Construction Focus Group. She also hosts her own ‘Building Kent Connections’ networking group.
Cheryl supports the development of all Hawk’s clients, adding value by working closely with Emma and Lewis to ensure our delivery and knowledge levels are constantly exceeding expectations.

Senior Quantity Surveyor
Experienced in 3D / BIM measurement, Bill of Quantities and Cut and Fill Quantity measurement, Lewis’ experience has developed over his 12+ years in the industry, 10 of which he spent working within one of Kent’s largest main contracting firms.
Lewis’ problem-solving attitude and his wide knowledge base ensure hands-on support for our clients through project variations and risk exposure. He won’t shy away from difficult conversations, instead, he brings energy and solutions to drive every project forwards.
