Project Background:

A new build aircraft hangar at Biggin Hill airport with a shell and core contract value of £73M has been constructed for an executive jet company.

The ‘super hangar’, which covers 250,000 sq ft, will provide aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul facilities for the client. The scheme also includes 650,000 sq ft of apron area, car park and external works.

Scope:

Hawk were engaged by one of the sub-contractors, to carry out a final account measure, using Bluebeam.

Outcome:

The client are now commissioning the fit out of the hangar, bringing in machinery and aircraft maintenance equipment.
